Well RJ originally did start the college season as the #1 prospect, so he is certainly legitimate and in that conversation. But I think with Zion it's about the physical specimen and beast that he is (not in an LBJ type of way), jumping out of the gym despite weighing what he weighs.
I like RJ, plus he's Canadian. We'll have to wait and see how Zion looks against the competition.

Thats if he stays healthy. Hope its not another Greg Oden!
Would be fun watching this Zion guy dunk on everyone.

Zion is unquestionably more of a ticket-sales draw than RJ but it will be interesting to watch over say the next 3 seasons the difference in productivity vs hype and how many games each 1 misses. Had the Pels drafted RJ #1 they would have retained Julius Randle for 3 years-$65 mill, David Griffin would have been villified by their fans for passing on Zion but I suspect they would end up with a better team than they will now.
Also if David Griffin had offered the Knicks the #1 pick for their #3 pick and 2 future unprotected 1st picks the Knicks would have pulled the trigger to get Zion.

Next-level L.A. Clippers' version of
Kawhi Leonard is averaging 27 points, 6.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.3 blocks
in only 28 minutes of playing time per game on 51% shooting in his first 4 games this season.
https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4896/
What makes it more impressive is that Leonard picks up more steals than personal fouls committed hence he can
play elite defense without getting into foul trouble.

The +2 unconditional 1st round picks + 3rd is absolutely lopsided offer. Specially given the Knicks inability to become a contender, those were going to be lottery picks. And that this draft was a top 3 and not a run away top pick like Lebron, Shaq, or AD drafts.
Also it's way too early to start evaluating rookies. It's only 3-4 games in the season. RJ has a good start, but can he sustain this? His shooting historically says otherwise... and even Shaq is laughing at his free throws.

Never underestimate Knicks desperation, all it would take is a Woj bomb before the draft that the Pels are offering the Knicks Zion for 3 1st rounders and Knicks fans would have put immense pressure on the team to make that deal.

I am actually more impressed with his assists and playmaking, they don't have a Kyle Lowry-type PG so he's taking on the load and he's been great with it.

Since when has the Knicks management ever did or cave to what the fans wanted?
Trading away Shumpert and J.R. Smith for basically nothing. Knicks fans boo.
Trading for Bargnani (this was the greatest trade ever for the Raptors until the Kawhi trade). Knicks fans boo.
Drafting Porzingis. Knicks fans boo. Though the fans were wrong on this one.
Trading away Porzingis. Knicks fans boo.
Not signing any of the big names last off season. Knicks fans boo. Stephen A Smith rants like he has never ranted before.

I thought they said he was 100% and no more load management needed?

Damn...Suns just went on a 30-1 run against the Warriors in the 1st quarter ....they getting blown out and are down 43-14 after the 1st... looks like fans are already headed for the exits...wow!
This is going to be a rough season for GSW. Its like all the teams are going to get their revenge on them after 5 years of the super team dominating the league with their 5 all stars and overrated coach.

And Steph is being exposed badly and should definitely drop him out of conversation with the likes of LeBron or kobe or Harden and others who can actually carry a team

I will wait until mid-season to judge, but i had always said Harden was more deserving of MVP the season Steph won his 1st MVP. Harden had no one and lead them to the 2nd seed in the West.

Seems like GSW turned into CAV's, the season LBJ left.

aside from Green, Russell and Steph...are any of the Warrior players really a known commodity in the league?
its a young team and the players are new, it doesn't look great for them, but if steph is out long term, they could 'tank" and wind up with a top 3-5 pick
Next year, will have the pick and Thompson - the team will look drastically different.

Looking for D'Angelo Russell to breakout and carry this GSW team, like Steph is unable to.

This Embiid vs. Kat is so damn petty and stupid, but I'll subscribe for now lol
Feel bad for Steph breaking his hand. Injury aside, hopefully this new GSW team shuts up the insufferable GSW fanbase

Whatever they can get for Russell. He puts on a show this year and they might be able to get good stock back in picks and players. GSW could rebound rather quickly in 2021.
