Linda M. Holmes April 16, 1994 Linda M. Holmes, 77, formerly of Towanda and Moscow, died Saturday in Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, Morristown, following an illness. She was the widow of Earl R. Holmes who died in 1993.

Born May 23, 1916, in Towanda, daughter of the late Edwin and Marion Kershner Mobley, she was educated in Towanda public schools graduating in 1934. She was a hairdresser for several years, until she entered the U.S. Signal Corps as an inspector. She later worked at Westinghouse in Baltimore, Md. She moved to Moscow in 1954 and lived there until 1993.

She had been active with the Girl Scouts, the Lackawanna Astronomical Society, the Moscow Senior Center and was a member of the Moscow United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Nora D. Bromberg, Talbott, and Deborah A. Palmer, Nashua, N.H.; three grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m.

His first wife, the former Catherine Deitz, died in August 1984. Born in Old Forge, son of the late Wasyl and Mary Yaworski Boyko, he formerly resided and was educated in Taylor. Born in Dickson City, son of the late Stephen and Lucy Balczeniuk, he was a graduate of Dickson City High School. An Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a retired employee of the Jewel Companies Inc.

5, 1987. Born April 15, 1914, in Jessup, son of the late James P. and Mary Gallagher Conroy, he was a 1932 graduate of Jessup High School. He worked for 30 years as a custodian and crossing guard at the former Robert Morris School in Jessup and for 10 years as a psychiatric aide at Community Medical Center. He was a member and usher at St.

James Church, Jessup, and a member of the church's societies. Surviving are a son, Jim, at home, a copy editor for The Times-Tribune; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph, James, Thomas, Miles, Martin and Eugene, and four sisters, Helen, Margaret, Rosemary and Sister Eileen, SA. A native of Pittston, she was the daughter of the late John and Wilhelmina Kringe Kress. She moved to Newark, N.J., in 1918, and later moved to Belleville, N.J., in 1925. She was a member of St.

Peter's Church, Belleville. Surviving are six sons, Robert, Thomas, Joseph and Albert, all of Belleville, N.J., and Frank and John, both of Gainesville, and two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Hoffman, Boston, and Mrs. Mary Seller, Belleville, N.J.; 26 grandchildren; 21 great grandchioldren. She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
