Sheila, I cracked up when I read your post - we saw the same thing hon!!!!

My official guess ... it's looking from the bottom up, through a glass, of what I'm not sure! Let's say it's an orange just so I have a guess out there

Welcome Nancy and Betty. The MP is perplexing this week! If it was black and white, I would swear it was an ultra sound pic. I never could "see" the things those techs kept saying. Lol

DD and little Ragan are doing great! I've been busy at work and being a grandma so it took quite a while to catch up this morning. Congratulations on the 500 pages! That's great!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Hauntie, my surgery buddy, sorry you're having issues with the healing. I am doing well with everything except the armpit and upper arm where they removed the lymph nodes. Getting therapy 2x a week to get range of motion back. I have been working hard because I need it to begin rads. I don't want to put them off. Don't know how quickly any little buggers could start multiplying again. I am good with it, can get my arm up now, but it hurts! Hope you're doing better and the fluid stops building up. ((((hugs))))

Nancy, if you do have to start radiation, we can be radiation buddies! I am getting simulation tomorrow and then supposed to start rads next week. It would be great to have a buddy to go through it with.

I don't know whether to be nervous about the simulation tomorrow or not. I guess the biggest thing I'm afraid of is laying with my arm held up for 40 minutes. I've only just gotten to the point where I can lift it, and it hurts. How am I going to stay that way for 40 minutes? Vicodin and Ativan I guess.

Hauntie and Kay- Hugs. Hope your problems are resolved soon.

For those of you starting Rads. I just finished and I swear Emu oil is what saved my skin.

I think the MP is hot glass being blown.

Hi Kay - Maybe my memory is bad, but I don't remember having this kind of discomfort after my first MX. It's getting better, but not soon enough for me. Good luck with the radiation simulation. My radiation didn't start until after 4 rounds of chemo, so I had healed enough to have full range of motion in my arm by then. What did happen is a slip of the needle during the tattoo process. So instead of a pinhead size tattoo, I have about a 1/8" blue dot on my upper chest. It's become my mark of how low a top I can wear.

I had an awful day yesterday. The chest/rib pain started again and it was horrible. As with my previous attack10 days ago, it came on suddenly. Sharp stabbing paint from what seemed to be my right shoulder balde and radiating through the front. Horrible pain, but I knew it was not cardiac at least so no panic over it. I had actaully asked my RO last week for pain meds just in case it happened again. So gladI did, that was what saved me. Lots of drugs and lots of sleep. Every timeI wokeup the pain was terrible. I just slept a lot and this mornng it is much better, although still have that dull throbbing in my ribs. Yesterday when it started I had a hard time taking deep breaths, the pain was so severe.

I did not bother calling my RO because I am sure he would have told me to go to the ER. A lot of good that did last time! Just another bill piling up. So rode this out but it was a terrible miserable day. Ten days from the first attack. I hope with all my being this one is that last.

Thanks for letting me unload ladies. I mean a lot to me.

      Hugs to all.....

Janis - sorry you had to go through that again. They never figured out the cause of it? If your RO can't figure it out, I'd check in with your MO or PC just to make sure it's nothing serious.

Janis - I have to agree with Hauntie - you need to figure out what this is. I certainly hope you don't have to do that again.

janis, It would be reassuring if they could tell you what is causing that pain (although it is good to know it is not heart related.) When I had that pain, it was fairly constant for weeks and although it felt like it penetrated from back to front, it never felt sharp or stabbing. Mine was like I got shot with an arrow and no one bothered to remove it. It still sounds like irritated nerves to me, that are having flare-ups as they heal...but I'm just guessing. Hope you find out.

Kay, Good luck with your simulation. There is a September rads thread going that you can add if you are interested in company. Of course, there aren't nearly as many parties!MIDDLE-AGED WOMEN 40-60ish - Page 501 (20)

Oh Janis, I'm so sorry to hear you are having the pain again. MIDDLE-AGED WOMEN 40-60ish - Page 501 (22) I agree with Hauntie to have the MO or your PC doc check it out for you. Just doesn't seem right to have that happening. Hauntie I hope you also get some relief tomorrow too. I know that pains from BC are nothing that we should have to endure and should be treated immediatly. You know if the doc had that pain they wouldn't be so slow to check on it! Good luck to everyone with treatments this week!
