Reports to: Personal Training Manager Status: Non-Exempt / Full Time

Salary: $32-45/hr.

The Personal Trainer will guide clients through their fitness journey with personalized attention and programming. Work with members to create individualized plans for achieving their fitness goals, while remaining safe and injuring free. Lead clients through exercise routines while offering words of encouragement during training sessions. You will not only be responsible for working with your existing client list as it grows but also educating Club members about the benefits of personal training.

Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesoAssume the responsibility of training members who are interested in working one-on-one with a fitness professional

oProvide members with safe, results-oriented programming that matches their goals and fitness level

oConduct new member orientation pre-exercise biometrics and goal evaluations

oTalk to members of the club about their goals and introduce them to our personal training programming

oAdvise members about important safety concerns and demonstrate exercises and proper form

oEnsure client renewal through focused, positive, supportive coaching, follow up and programming

oKeep accurate and detailed records of program progress

oMaintain a minimum of 12 client hours weekly

Qualifications For Certified TrainerMust have a nationally recognized personal training certification from a Defined Fitness accepted provider:

NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NCSF, NCCPT, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, IFPA, PTA Global, ISSA

oPersonal training or group fitness instruction experience, preferred but not required

oAbility to perform exercises and movements as demonstrations for members

oSelf-motivated/competitive, ‘driver’ personality required

oPC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products

oMust have a valid CPR/AED certification, including infant and child, on your first day of employment working for pay and maintain valid certification throughout employment

oExcellent communication skills both verbally and in writing

Physical RequirementsoMust be able to stand for extended periods of time

oMust be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds

oMust be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read and write
