I'm getting my daughters at 3 months as well. & to everybody saying you want them to make the decision themselves.... What about the little boys that didn't ask to be circumcised? Why not wait till they are older as well. In my opinion it's best to get it as early as you can so it won't hurt as bad. That's why people get there sons circ*msiced as a baby because it will hurt even more as a teenager or an adult, same thing with piercing babies ears!

I has mine done super early I don't even know how old I must have been but I am a baby baby I'm the pictures of me and my sister and I have my ears done! I'll definitely be getting them done for my babygirl I know lots of babies with pierced ears and I've never seen any of them get infected as long as they are cleaned correctly they should be fine!

Ear pircing is no big deal in my family. Got my daughter's done at 8 months. But she pulled at them when she was sleeping so I took it out so it wouldn't get infected. Shes 3 and really wants them now. Wish I put earrings in once a week to keep open. Not sure what ill do this time around.

I'm having a girl and debating this myself. I got mine when I was a baby never had an infection and still wear earings now. I like the less chance of infection for babies (seen to many young girls and teens that touch them to much or take them out to early cause they hurt, and don't keep them clean) I also like the idea of letting her choose and having it be a reward of some kind though.

Just an fyi, some doctors offices will pierce the ears which is much safer and hygienic than many of the places you can get them done.

My daughter is 5 and im letting her get them before kindergarden if she wants! I'm not a fan of babies with theirs done. My mom had mine done that earlyand I had lots of infections

Once she gets her two months shots we will be going to Claire's and putting pearls in my little lady's ear. As long as you keep them clean they won't get affected.Plus its better to get them while she is a newborn so she won't tug on her ear & affect it herself.

I won't be getting either of my daughter's done, I think it's unnecessary to do it just so they look 'cute', when they're older and ask then I'll get them done but definitely not whilst they're still babies, my girls are beautiful enough without earings lol just my opinion

Im having a girl. Im getting her ears pierced at 2-3 months. Kinda a tradition with my family. My grandma did my momms and aunts herself. I won'tbegoing that route. Just saying.

My mom took me to get my ears pierced when I was about 7 yrs old and its a great memory.In turn, I took both of my daughters at about the same age, made a special day of it at the mall, now my girls and I have the most amazing memories of that magical day :)

I'm not going to get my daughter's ears pierced until she is old enough to understand the decision and is sure she wants to have them done.
My mum had my ears pierced when I was 4 months old and yes I still wear them now, but most of the piercings I got in my teens I don't have anymore. I've had my ears pierced 3x, my nose, eyebrow, lip, anti tragus piercing, belly button. And I only wear one pair of earrings now.
My little sister also had her ears pierced at 4 month's and hers actually migrated as she grew and are now too high up and look stupid. I don't think it should be upto us to decide to shove a piece of metal through a babies skin. Not bashing anyone who does it, I just really don't like babies with piercings. And most people I know actually don't pierce their babies ears now. I think it was a very 90s thing which most people don't do anymore. Especially where I live

I had mine done when i was 3 months old & still have them to this day lol, never had any problems & i looked so cute in pictures !!

Im having a little boy but when i have a little girl i'll be doing it very young as well.

Im piercing my baby girls ears when she is 100 days old because 100 days is a big mile stone in korean culture haha

My mom did mine when I was like 3-6 months and I never regretted her doing it and ended up with my second holes done a cartlidge done when I was ikder . I'm just now in my 20's not wearing earrings out of pure laziness lol I never did my daughters ears even tho I wanted to cuz I know I couldn't handle her crying I couldn't even handle her crying when she got her shots ...now I regrett not doing it because she's 5 now and if I were to do it it'd be terrifying so I'm gonna wait till she asks

I pierced my daughters ears at 2 months old. I got her all her shots before i took her to get them done.
They turned out great.She's 3 months now.No infections.Her earrings are flowers and everyone can't get over how cute she looks with them.
No regrets.She can take them out later if she wants. ..It's not permanent.I didn't tattoo her lol. I don't think it's a big deal

I plan on getting my daughters around age 3, maybe 2 if I feel she's ready. My friend got her daughters done at 5 months and couldn't get her daughter to stop touching them which led to them getting irritated and bleeding often. Then one day when her daughter was about 7 or 8 months, her daughter grabbed the earrings and tugged so hard she actually tore her ears and needed stitches. I plan on getting my daughters as soon as I know she'll understand not to tug on them.

I was thinking about the part of her deciding on her own but idk.I got them done as a baby and I think I want her to have them to.

If I have a daughter i will be piercing her ears young. I got mine done at five years old and still remember the pain. Id rather have my baby girl looking super cute with a little sparkle in her ear at a young age. Earrings arnt a had looking thing. And accepted very easily no matter where you are.

I got my daughters ears pierced at 1yrs old and it cost me about $65.00 because you have to buy either gold, white gold, or titanium so they dont get infections and i kinda regret it because my daughter hates earrings now she is 4 1/2 and never wears them so i have to make her wear a pair once a week for a few hours just so they wont seal up:( kinda wish i wouldve waited til she was like 6 so she would actually know if she liked it or not

The hole isn't that noticable so if my baby wants to take them out when she's older she can. Just was my preference.

Honestly I won't be doing my daughters. She can decide that for herself when she's old enough to. I feel that its her body to make that decision over not mine. I got mine done as a teen and my mom let me make that choice myself. I think it should be up to the person because if they decide later they don't want them they're stuck with the holes. By the time they can decide about it they will have healed and won't close up
