Arsenal’s striker search
Arsenal are looking to sign an elite striker before their summer pre-season tour.
According toThe Independent, Newcastle star Alexander Isak and Ajax ace Brian Brobbey top the Gunners’ list.
Isak has been the preferred option but the Magpies are likely to refuse letting arguably their best player leave for a Premier League rival.
The Toon hope the Sweden international will sign a new deal as they want to build a project around him.
If the North Londoners can’t get the 24-year-old, Brobbey would be the next most likely option with Sporting Lison star Viktor Gyokeres posing as another alternative.

Arsenal still eye Hato
Arsenal remain keen on Ajax star Jorrel Hato even after he signed a new contract until 2028.
I still believe Jorrel Hato remains the top target, should Arsenal look to strengthen the left side of defence.
The interest in Hato remains, despite him signing a new contract at Ajax.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they make an attempt to bring him in this summer.

Joshua Zirkzee tip
Arsenal have been told why Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee could be the perfect summer signing.
For the way Arsenal play, I think Joshua Zirkzee could be perfect for them. I know he's on their list, but I don't know if he's the priority.
He is also on the radar of Juventus and [AC] Milan, and at the moment he is the perfect young striker for all of them.
But Zirkzee has a strange situation with his contract, as Bayern [Munich] have the option to buy him back for €40million (£34m), but if Bologna sell him to other clubs, they will only get 60 percent of the transfer fee.
It depends on whether Bayern decide to buy him back or not. It depends on who decides to sell him – Bayern or Bologna. So it is a difficult situation in this matter.

More on Lokonga
Arsenal ace Albert Sambi Lokonga looks set to leave this summer with the player himself dropping a major hint following his loan spell at Luton Town.
For me, I had a discussion with Arsenal and the conclusion was the best thing for me was to leave the club.
So now it's up to my agent and the club to find something.
I still have a contract there, one year plus a one-year option so let's see what happens.

Sambi Lokonga leaving Arsenal
Arsenal are set to part ways with Albert Sambi Lokonga as they want to bring a new midfielder.
My understanding is that Arsenal are open to both loan or permanent deal proposals, based on the fee or the player’s preference - that will also be important.
Lokonga is expected to leave again because Arsenal want to bring in a new midfielder and they’ve already got many players in that position.

Declan Rice diet
Arsenal star Declan Rice has established himself as one of the Premier League's signings of the season - and his diet has played a big part.
I have four pancakes before a game. Covered in syrup or honey.
I swear to God, it’s the best thing… When I joined the club, I could see the [Arsenal] players eating them and thought to myself, ‘What is going on here?’ But honestly, it’s been a game changer.
I don’t understand the science behind it, what’s in them or anything like that, but it gives me such a high energy boost.
I think that’s why I’m able to rattle around the pitch so much...If we’re playing at 5.30pm, I’ll sometimes have eight pancakes in a day.
I’ll have some at breakfast and I’ll have some more at 3.30pm before we play.

Pitch invader
A football "fan" filmed himself invading the pitch during Tottenham's open training session in Australia on Tuesday.
Spurs travelled to Melbourne for a post-season friendly against Newcastle just a few hours after the Premier League season ended last week.
The North Londoners took part in an open training session at AAMI Park before facing Eddie Howe's side.
However, the session was interrupted by a brazen "fan".
The man, who claimed to be an Arsenal fan, filmed himself running onto the pitch and shouting at the Tottenham players.
He could be heard screaming: "Come on you Gunners," and "Arsenal, Arsenal," towards Emerson Royal and Micky van de Ven.

What the Hec
Real Betis star and former Arsenal star Hector Bellerin has been handed a shock call-up for an international friendly next Wednesday - but not for Spain.
Bellerin, who last played internationally three years ago, is set to represent Catalonia in a clash against Panama.
Despite not being recognised as an official team by Fifa - and therefore not included in their world rankings - the Catalan team can field players who are also eligible for the Spanish national team.
The upcoming friendly will see the full-back earn his first cap for Gerard Lopez's side.
The 29-year-old will join forces with notable stars such as Manchester City’s Sergio Gomez as well as ex-City and Barcelona ace Eric Garcia.
Bellerin played four times for Spain after making his debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina back in 2016.

Arsenal's Champions League blow
Arsenal could be handed a Champions League nightmare draw as a result of Atalanta’s Europa League triumph.
The Italians' 3-0 Dublin win over previously unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen that earned the Bergamo side their first European trophy is set to have a significant knock-on effect for next season’s expanded tournament.
Italy and Germany had already been assured of a fifth place in the Champions League - meaning Tottenham will play in the Europa League rather than joining the big boys.
But Atalanta’s win is set to give Italy SIX places in the Champions League if they stay in their current fifth spot in the Serie A table.
In the worst case scenario, Arsenal might have to play Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain from Pot 1 alongside Barcelona and Juventus from Pot 2.
All teams will play eight matches in the initial phase - which will not be completed until January - with the top eight in the “final” league table automatically making the last 16.
Spurs and either Chelsea or Manchester United - if the Old Trafford side win Saturday’s FA Cup Final - will face the same set-up in the Europa League, with the two English sides guaranteed to be top seeds.

Arsenal 'need a bit of depth' says Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas believes Arsenal "need a bit of depth" in order to keep challenging for the Premier League title.
He told the Planet Premier League podcast: "It's funny, because the other day you are watching both games at the same time and when you think about it, you say 'wow, Man City have like two teams that can win the Premier League'.
"Arsenal don't in this regard [have that depth], so for me is a bit of everything.
"Yes, they do need a bit of depth to keep pushing, pushing, pushing during the season and not rely always on [Bukayo] Saka, on Rice, on [Thomas] Partey if he's injured or not, on [William] Saliba.
"But also in my opinion, and he's done really, really well, but it is not his main position - is Havertz. He has had a fantastic season.
"If Arsenal can manage to get that top striker that can guarantee you goals through the all of the season, they will be much, much, much closer to getting it."
